Before the Memories Begin

When does one actually start to live? After he was born out of his mother's womb? Or when one starts to feel, experience, and most importantly, cultivate memories? Is a ten-year-old's life truly ten years long, or merely six or seven — from the time he begins to collect memories?

This website officially came to life on May 1, 2026 — a gift from a dear friend. But like a newborn in those first quiet days, it arrived before it had stories to tell. I realized early on that a website, like a life, needs time, nurturing, and effort to build its memories — a living, growing collection of experiences that give it meaning and presence.

This is the first baby step toward that end.

As I write, I am allowing this space to come into the light — for anyone who happens to wander in. Right now, like the earliest years of a newborn, the memories here are few. The pages are sparse. The voice is finding itself. But that is exactly as it should be. No life begins fully formed. No story begins at its most interesting chapter.

With time, this site will grow into its own. It will move through its awkward teenage years — full of ideas that don't quite land yet. It will find its footing, its confidence, its rhythm. And eventually, I hope, it will reach a kind of maturity — a place where readers come not just to visit, but to linger, to think, and perhaps to find something that speaks to their own journey.

Welcome. The memories are just beginning!
